Best fish n chips in the world but so over priced I stopped going

Just for the Halibut. Huge hunks from Heaven! Steak of the Sea ! Enuff said !

Fish and chips were great !

Went to a banquette with friends. Roast beef and chicken breasts were the main course. Great salads and side dishes. Only one small complaint and that is the way most restaurants cook their beef. Beef is a dryer meat but has enough moisture in it to do the job. STOP COOKING THE ROASTS IN A WATER BATH. It turns the meat grey and makes it tough. Especially if you don't carve it correctly. Just sayin' is all.

A pub like a pub. Friendly and fantastic location.

I've been there a few times, absolutely loved the food every time. Though recently I called for a takeout order, asked what was the time limit, the guy told me a time, I called back (15 min before the time I got told) and the same guy responded, "Oh well now we're booked off til close... gonna have to call back another day". Pretty deceiving, I wanted that fish n' chips. How about when you say something to a customer, you follow through with it ? Maybe it's just me, but I find it not to be good business... Voilà !

Did the take out fish and chips. Hot and crispy. A little high priced but HUGE PORTIONS. Advice....order the 2 pc to share !

This pub has the biggest pieces of halibut, a one piece meal is enough for most people. I would never be able to eat a two piece. I do home care for seniors and a lady client likes to go there and we share a two piece meal and order an extra coleslaw, which works out well as neither of us wants a lot of fries.

Fish so big need two to eat one piece. Service excellent and friendly. Prices reasonable and a variety of choices.

This place has excellent fish and chips. You also have choice between two fish one being Halibut. In the winter you can usually watch and hear the sea Lions on the point before entering the pub. This place can be very busy and has limited seating. Sometimes you have to share seating at a table but the people are very friendly.

More of a locals place o overlooking a marina. The burgers were as good as it gets. And our waitress, Lisa, was top notch.

Good little spot. Has some good music on Fridays. Pub supports Meat Draw fundraisers for local athletes. Food is good pub food. Not much for cell reception. Prices are decent.Their sweet potato fries & dip are delicious.The fish n chips is really popular.

Most amazing halibut and chips ever! Cooked to perfection. Warning... Fish portions are huge! One piece of fish could easily be shared by two people. Our server went out of her way to answer questions and offer great suggestions throughout our meal. Definitely recommend a visit.

Came here for fish and chips for my older brothers birthday dinner. Best halibut fish and chips I’ve had in a long time.

Very nice quaint place. Food was good, service great but a little pricey.

You can get a great meal at the French Creek where locals fill the room with laughter. Great views of the harbour. Walk around the docks and watch the boats come and go. Sea lions harbour seals, seagulls, herons... Alot of activity. Gorgeous mountain views.

Best fish and chips EVER! Nice and crispy outside and the inside cooked to perfection throughout.

I've been here several times. Always, excellent food, service and staff. Location is incredible. Having owned and operated a Victoria fish and chip shop for years I can tell you these guys have got it right. Simply the best you'll find mid island. Go try the French Creek Marina, you won't be disappointed!

I fell in love last night at the French Creek Marine Pub .....with the mini lobster rolls!! First time to this pub, first time eating lobster rolls and was impressed!! Even my husband commented how good they were :) My husband ordered the 1 piece fish and chips which was a huge portion, he was glad he didn't order 2 pieces because he wouldn't have been able to finish it. Good food, good portions, good service!!

Great service. The halibut and fries delish. Loved the tartar sauce. Fancy milieu, but staff very welcoming even though we just came from a walk on the beach.

The food here is always delicious and they've made some changes to their menu over the years that have added more tasty choices. It's a family fave!

Amazing halibut and a generous portions. The staff were fast and fun, food was delicious. I was looking for Guinness on tap; settled for a can. The view’s great and there was a sunny patio to sit on. There was some sea art on display that caught my eye and is made right there locally by an employee/artisan. Wow#islandbucketlist,#openconnection

First time at this restaurant, very pleased with the food and take-out service. Will be back when life returns to normal.

I liked their fish tacos - very messy so be prepared! :) A great marina to see the herring run each year. This was my first year. A hopping pub during it. Great quick service when I was there!

Great service, old style marina and fisherman's pub. Tasty well priced food but the beer list is very linited. This is not the place to experience craft brews. Otherwise recommended.

Awesome fish and chips. Great service. Great patio with an excellent view and ample parking. Their indoors is nice and cosy too. The servers are friendly and courteous. Prices are fair. Okayish coffee but I might be the only person that orders coffee at a pub so I won’t complain about that.

Great service and food. Atmosphere always fun.

Friendly staff. Busy at lunch and dinner. Really reasonable lunch specials. Everything we have tried on the menu has been good especially the burgers. Doesn't get that rocking at night. Sometimes has special events ( sports viewing, meat draws) close to the ocean. Lots of parking but you have to watch because other areas in the marina require a park pass. So park in front of bar.
